Our client is currently the largest national provider of Offender Learning in the UK; their highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.

With this in mind, they are currently recruiting for an OLASS Manager at HMP Kirklevington Grange.

The purpose of this role is to manage and co-ordinate the contract for the delivery of quality learning and skills services, including the management of the college staff employed within the prison. The post holder will liaise and work closely with the prison service and other stakeholders, ensuring appropriate and innovative provision which meets the learning and skills needs of offenders.

Applicants must have a degree or equivalent AND a teaching qualification (minimum Cert Ed/PGCE). They must also have a track record of developing, leading and managing a team effectively and the ability to implement and manage continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures. Additionally, candidates will have experience of successful partnership working, effectively managing a budget and be an enthusiastic problem solver.

To succeed in this role, candidates will need to have a pragmatic approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.
